Originally from Florida and based in Montreal since 2008, XRAY is an artist from the world of graffiti and street arts. He started as a graffiti artist in the 1990s, a time when he was involved in skateboarding and also in hip-hop culture. XRAY is best known for its colorful works, or its paintings referring to the art of advertising from the 1950s to the 1990s. Although its influences are eclectic, the current pop culture represents most of its inspiration. His aesthetic work consists of clean lines, cartoon images, original typography. His art explores both modern and urban themes and his interest is particularly in the way advertising can affect developing minds.
