The celebration of Black culture in the city to fund the future of Black Youth.
Montreal has always had an affinity for black culture however Black people have often times felt alienated in Montreal.
With the immense influence Black culture has on Montreal it is seldom celebrated for its contributions. With this space made available to us by Mural we want to highlight and celebrate the black community by providing a platform to not only accentuate but also to pay it forward to the next generation. Throughout the event we will also give the community the opportunity to voice themselves as a part of a docuseries covering the event where they will be able to share their sentiments on the relationship they have with the city of Montreal which will be hosted and directed by Steve Daniel, a Montreal based content creator that mainly focuses on creating experiences and bringing value to brands and his community.
This 3 hour block will include sounds from all parts of the African diaspora and will be operated by OCCUPY THE HOOD.
