It’s been twelve years since Beatrice Martin appeared in our lives as Coeur de pirate. Solidly established internationally and with five acclaimed full-lengths to her credit – Coeur de pirate (2008), Blonde (2011), Roses (2015), En cas de tempête, ce jardin sera fermé (2018) and Perséides (2021) – the artist, who has won numerous awards in Quebec and France, now divides her time between the creative work that has always animated her and her new role at the head of Bravo Musique, a music and talent company that she carries with vision, surrounded by the people she loves.

Nicolet is Etienne Hamel’s musical project, driven as much by terrestrial travel as by the exploration of liminal territories. A “bigger” ready to encompass more: in 2021, Nicolet will unveil a second album, two-thirds of which were composed in the Sutton area just weeks after the release of Hochelaga – some time before Hamel returned to settle there permanently.

Initiated on a Montreal balcony in the summer of 2014 by Monteregian-born Emerik St-Cyr-Labbé, the vehicle of furrowed words and impromptu grooves that is Mon Doux Saigneur released a namesake debut album under Grosse Boîte in 2017. A confluence of spectral folk, Malian blues and groovy country-rock, said album has taken him on the roads of Quebec and notably earned him the Lucien for Indie Rock Album at GAMIQ 2018. An engine of sustainable creation, he’s all the time on the case of the sequel – and, as a matter of fact, a 2nd album, Horizon, sees the light of day in 2020.

Montreal-based singer-songwriter thaïs explores the sounds of French-language pop music, both soaring and sparkling. With her soft and controlled voice, she sings about melancholy, loneliness and love disorders that often inspire her. The delicate arrangements of an electric guitar accompany her, while keeping her indie signature on a powerful electro instrumental.
