Since 2013, Life is Beautiful has been building up to become one of the best multidisciplinary festivals in North America. What started as a three-day event that took over the streets of Downtown Las Vegas eventually became a full-fledged festival combining music, food, art, and inspirational speakers.
The 2017 edition of the festival produced by Justkids was undoubtedly the best one so far and included musical headliners such as Chance The Rapper, Muse, Gorillaz, MGMT, 2 Chainz, Bonobo, De La Soul and much more, inviting people with completely different musical tastes to come and celebrate.
Felipe Pantone
This year, the festival produced the first ever neon mural powered by solar power. This was created by none other than Felipe Pantone himself, who is known for the geometric shapes and bright colors in his artwork. Pantone and his mural shine light on the issue of renewable energy and raise awareness of its benefits through the extraordinary artistic effect it creates.
The Meow Wolf Art Collective also gathered in Las Vegas to create Art Motel, a temporary installation of 21 interactive rooms in an abandoned hotel.
Let’s talk about the murals! The 21-storey masterpiece by the duo FAILE strikes not only by its size but also with the catchy artwork itself. The mural features a canine character in a hat and Las Vegas t-shirt with a royal flush in one hand, followed by a girl. The world-renowned artist, Okuda created a mural for the occasion with a 3D installation immersing festival-goers in his geometric universe.
