Another Larger Than Life Edition of Life is Beautiful

Since 2013, Life is Beautiful has developed into one of the most prolific multidisciplinary festivals in North America. What started as a three-day event that took over the streets of downtown Las Vegas grew to become a small multiverse of music, food, art, inspirational talks and more.

The 2018 edition of Life is Beautiful owned up the high praise we published last year about the event. Worthy of the description a “Futuristic Woodstock”, the festival put together an epic musical program including artists like N.E.R.D., Travis Scott, Tyler, the Creator, AP Ferg, The Weeknd, Florence + the Machine and Montrealers, Arcade Fire.

Life is Beautiful brings together a roster of incredibly talented international artists from a broad range of styles and techniques. For this edition, Las Vegas welcomed beautiful artworks by Retna, Lakwena, Andre Saraiva, Sebas Velasco, Saddo, Egle Zvirblyte, Joakim Mojanen & Aware.

One of the most notable works of art from this year’s festival is the Wild Wild Waste installation, a zoo parody created by Bordalo II. A bestiary of animals made out of garbage society refuses to take responsibility for, was a great initiative highlighting issues of pollution and animal rights, which are now more relevant than ever.

As for murals, we fell in love with artist Joakim Mojanen’s first ever large scale project, Aware’s bold and vibrant artwork and Sebas Velasco’s impressive photorealistic work.
