1. Artists painting in real time on Boulevard Saint-Laurent
Throughout the duration of the festival, artists from seven different countries will come to colour the walls of our city with their finest creations. Among the participants will be Ron English, INSA, 1010, Mad C, Ricardo Cavolo, Fintan Magee, Ruben Sanchez, Nuria Mora, Smitheone and Onur, as well as a wide range of Canadian artists, including Fluke and Dodo from A’shop, Ola Volo, SbuOne, Scribe csx, Kevin Ledo, Monosourcil, Mort, Aydin Matlabi and Miss Me.
2. Free Block Parties
Because the festival wishes to offer you even more, all the outdoor shows will be free – yes, free – and take place in the main redeveloped area of Boulevard Saint-Laurent.

3. After Parties
With 11 after parties taking place at the MURAL Art Pub, a two-storey space with a terrace, there will be plenty of opportunities to extend your evenings! You will have the chance to be fully immersed in creative expression. In attendance: All Good, Gostoso, Junk Mail, All In, N10AS Takeover, Atelier New Regime, Frites & Maple Syzzurp, MBOKA: No Kliché’s album’s launch, Mutek, 00:AM and La Kantine.
Whether you are an epicurean, a tourist or simply curious, come and discover the work of nearly one hundred local and international artists at the Mural Art Fair. You will have the opportunity to meet 16 gallerists and exhibitors who share a common passion for the promotion of urban and contemporary art. There will be several artistic installations, ephemeral murals and exclusive events that will take place on site.
Enjoy the ultimate VIP experience of MURAL festival by rubbing shoulders with important artists and influencers. Enjoy 11 days of access to the VIP zone of the festival, inclusive of alcohol discounts, a privileged view of the Block Parties, access to many musical events, exclusive conferences, guided tours of the festival murals and much more!
6. Guided tours of the mural routes
One of the most popular activities of MURAL Festival, our guided tours promise to take you on an informative journey, helping you discover murals that have been produced since 2013, alongside live, in-action murals. Moreover, you will receive exclusive information about the muralists, details on their sources of inspiration, as well as information on the various techniques that they employ. New this year: along St. Paul Street West in Old Montréal, a unique signage system will be created and guide visitors through a series of public art.
Visits will be offered in French and English during the 11 days of the festival. They are priced at $15 and free for children under 12 years old. Make sure to be quick to reserve your spot!
7. MURAL festival in Old Montreal
For its 5th edition, MURAL will improve its course by presenting a new addition to its programming: Saint-Paul street will be transformed into a pedestrian site and host the 3rd annual MURAL Art Fair (FAM) at Bonsecours Market, from June 8 to 11th. You can also enjoy artistic installations, ephemeral murals and “Art Circuits” to discover the contemporary art gallery of Old Montreal.
Part of MURAL festival, Grill Saint-Laurent is the gastronomic culinary event of the Main. Located in the main area of the festival, the restaurateurs will present dishes prepared on the grill to satisfy your taste buds, enjoy the sun and music, a glass in your hand and good food in the other!
9. The Enchanted Forest presented by Lululemon
The Park of Portugal will transform into an enchanted forest where you will not only be able to enjoy a range of artistic programming, but also visit meditation and relaxation workshops. Throughout the duration of the festival, you will be invited to attend yoga classes taught first-hand by instructors. A creative space for personal exploration and relaxation.
10. Ron English’s POPaganda pop-up shop
Undoubtedly one of the most prolific living contemporary artists, Ron English has adopted the term ‘POPaganda’ to describe his trademark style. Fusing cartoon superheroes with art historical iconography, you will find paintings, panels and sculptures created by this talented artist.
Do not miss your chance to discover the POP mythology of the artist at the POPaganda Pop-up. Toys, silkscreens, t-shirts, books, and other rare Ron English memorabilia will be available on site.
The vernissage will take place on June 9th in the presence of the artist – see you there!
11. Aaron Li-Hill
MURAL is proud to welcome Canadian artist Aaron Li-Hill to our 5th edition, who produced a major installation that will decorate Saint-Laurent Boulevard throughout the summer season. This feature most definitely worth a visit!
12. Numerous exhibitions located on Boulevard Saint-Laurent and in Old Montréal
For the art lovers, a multitude of exhibitions will be on display between June 8 to 18th. From ‘Beautanika: Wild Hearts, Rebel Souls’ by Stikki Peaches, to the NASTY WOMEN collective exhibition, the POPaganda pop-up shop by Ron English, and La Petite Expo by Canadian artist Jonathan Bergeron, our shows will surely satisfy everyone’s palette. Finally, from June 16 to 24th, don’t miss the Spanish artist Felipe Pantone, who will present his solo exhibition ‘Planar Direction’ at Station 16 Gallery.
