The MURAL Festival and the Saint-Laurent Business Development Board (SDBSL) on COVID-19 and the impacts on the 2020 edition of the festival scheduled for June 11th to 21st.

First and foremost, all of our thoughts are with you in these uncertain moments.

We now turn to you because we have had many discussions with our corporate, community and institutional partners about the possibility to push the Mural Festival from its planned dates of June 11 to 21st, 2020.

We deeply care about our artists, our community and the health and security of all our collaborators. We will follow the Government’s instructions and recommendations regarding public events, even if the restrictions last longer than what’s already announced. For now, and if the situation clears up quickly enough to hold the Festival from June 11 to 21, we will do so.

In the possibility that this collective hardship forces us to postpone the Festival to a later date; the whole Mural team is currently working on preparing an artistic celebration that will contribute to heal the wounds of the sacrifices that we are collectively asked to make.

We have already begun discussions to ensure that it will be possible to postpone Saint-Laurent Boulevard’s closure and the Mural Festival to a later date if needed

When the time comes, Montrealers and visitors will once again come together to celebrate art and creativity in our beautiful city. When that happens, we will be there to continue shaping the urban landscape and unite us all in a truly unique celebration!

Until then, we will closely follow all the developments and will keep on working hard to present our 8th edition. Stay Tuned!

See you soon and take care,

The MURAL Festival Team and SDBSL
