Born in France and growing up in Montreal, Fonki is a young multicultural artist. He started his artistic career as a graffiti artist in the streets of Montreal, then he gradually turned to the creation of mural. A stay in Cambodia, the country of his ancestors that his parents fled under the Khmer Rouge regime, in 2012, marked his art. This change was achieved by adding ornaments similar to those of Angkor, the Kbach style.
