Margotella is an artist whose creative journey is rooted in a spontaneous and authentic expression of her reality as a woman, mother, and artist. Her work explores several techniques that she has developed over time, such as 3-D, Grafftag, oil on plywood, Freestyle, Post-Her, and Artwear.
Her artistic approach is deeply linked to her environment, and her creations are a direct response to the emotions and experiences she goes through. 3-D, for example, is an exploration of her femininity, created using plastic molds fixed on canvas. Grafftag, on the other hand, is born from recovered anonymous canvases, on which she creates graphic compositions that evoke invisible exchanges between artists. In her oil on plywood works, Margotella dialogues with the wood, revealing hidden elements that she brings to light through anatomical or surrealist compositions.
Freestyle is a way for her to let go and allow spontaneous, often highly emotional creations to emerge. Her Post-Her technique, born of her love of photography, uses colors and shapes to translate the emotions evoked by captured images. Finally, ArtWear allows the artist to breathe new life into found objects, transforming worn clothing and accessories into truly unique works of art.
In addition to her creations, Margotella leads workshops and conferences on her artistic techniques and her use of color. She also participates in multidisciplinary artistic projects, including the creation of outdoor murals in collaboration with graffiti artists.
